If you love music, creative thinking, or solving puzzles, sign up for Exploring Engineering Day! Participants will take on hands-on design challenges and discover how their creativity can be applied to careers in engineering and technology. This year's Exploring Engineering Day theme is "Engineering to the Beat." Come work with real DJs and engineering professionals, build music boxes, and create a remix of your favorite song.

Youth Design Forum
The Studio Justice Youth Design Forum is ELSO’s annual design forum for Portland’s youth to explore and learn about local neighborhoods. Save the date! This year’s Youth Design Forum will be on May 16, 2026. Participants will learn from community leaders and industry professionals, work in teams to imagine solutions to real-world challenges, and share their ideas with each other. Students will become creators and change makers in their communities by using design thinking, storytelling, and lived experience to envision more just, sustainable futures.
